Another roundup of the daily Twitter feature: Lunchtime Music Break. Tune in each weekday at noon to see an inspiring and encouraging musical selection to send you off to lunch with a little happiness. (Sorry I’m a little late posting this – had a really busy weekend!)
Monday: “In My Father’s House” by Eric Bibb
Eric’s rich soulful voice shines on this joyful blues song. If you have been beaten down and discouraged, then give this a listen and have hope that there is room for you in your Father’s house.
Tuesday: “One More Day” by The Wood Brothers
Terrific roots rock with encouraging lyrics and killer slide guitar.
Wednesday: “Let the Day Begin” by The Call.
The Call was one of the more underrated bands of the 80s. Solid vocals, upbeat lyrics, and driving rock guitars. I couldn’t find a good live video (which is my preference for these posts), so I had to settle for the official MTV video.
Thursday: “There is a Reason” by Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss – nuff said.
Friday: “There’s a Light” by Beth Neilsen Chapman
This great version features guest vocals by Emmylou Harris, Pat Benatar, Sheryl Crowe, and Shea Seger. It almost sounds like church.
That’s it for this week – hope you enjoy. Tell me about great songs that I need to hear – comments are open below!
