Please Visit My Side-blog

We’ve had a number of new visitors lately, and I’m grateful that you’ve been stopping by. Just as an FYI, I’ve started a side-blog.

“What is a side-blog?” you ask.

This is my main blog which features my original work.  I spend time crafting these posts and working to make them interesting and relevant.  However, I realized that I missed what got me into blogging in the first place – simply sharing stuff that I found neat, interesting, or inspirational.

Thus, I’ve started the side-blog, Russell’s Inspiration Daybook.  This new blog is a place for me to capture and quickly share things that catch my attention.  I don’t engage in much critical analysis.  I don’t always agree with the viewpoint or perspective of the person I’m sharing about.  The main criteria is that the topic of the post caught my eye and it’s grist for the mill for a future sermon, article, blog post.

Also, I try to make connections among the ideas that I’m capturing in the various posts, linking them up to help open new creative connections for you.  In this respect, I’m taking inspiration from Maria Popova’s Brain Pickings blog, which has been consistently thoughtful and intriguing for the 10 years of its existence.

So drop by the Inspiration Daybook – poke around.  I hope you’ll find something that will inspire you to think, to ponder, to consider.

Russell
